Lets come up with ways to explain this complex, perplexing, and sometimes maddening idea that is core to the Christian belief. I mean, it took centuries for the early church to settle on how this one worked, lets see what we can come up with. {{Caution, may require lots of brain power}}

Why would we want to do anything. It is something that I know of a lot of people having problems with. I would say that a good 60-70% of people I have met who are not christian, are not christian because this made no sense to them. That is a lot of people, so it seems to be an important topic.

... But it's a concept that's never actually ever mentioned in the Bible. And what allusions are made (or thought to be made) are spurious. Many Christian sects deny the Trinity altogether. Some even deny the divinity of Christ. But other than all that, i don't see how it's confusing. God is eternally present as three distinct persons who are all God but are not each other. God the Son is not God the Father nor God the Holy Spirit, but all are God. Body-Soul-Spirit Physical-Mental-Spiritual Logical-Ritualistic-Mystical These are the aspect of the human being. Humans are a trinity of sorts, and they are fashioned after their creator. I am me. I have a body. I have a soul. I have a spirit. My body is not my soul, nor my spirit. Nor is my soul my body or my spirit. Nor is my spirit a body or a soul. But these individual aspects are all me. My DNA. My thoughts. My essence of life. These three aspects are what shapes life, the universe, and everything. God is the Creator, therefore God the Trinity is the Creator. The Bible DOES show references to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit all having created everything. Because they are all God but not each other.

That sentence itself is almost like an oxymoron. |

He would if he understood that profanity is relative to the situation. How's this: I would've made a superb preacher. I'll tell ya how it is! Lame.

What about the Hindu Trinity, the Trimurti? Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva as Creator, Sustainer, Destroyer, respectively.

As far as Theology is concerned (as opposed to Truth), I rather like that Trinity better. Not that it makes much more sense to me, it just seems cooler. Haha! The Wiccans have a Trinity also, ya know.

I believe you are thinking of hinduism. Only few buddhist sects believe in a god. much less a trinity

No, there is a sect of Buddhism that has a Trinity. I didnt say it had anything to do with God, now did I. I know full well the difference between Hinduism and Buddhism

Thats ok. No, the Buddhist Trinity is within. It is a Trinity of the Everlasting Soul searching for Nirvana, and is described in the Facets of the Buddha. I believe it is based on the simple "Body, Mind and Spirit", but goes much deeper that that...
