Because a lot of people in the Fandom are into a lot of mysticism and crap. If I could find the old Chaos Forums, (which had plenty of furry stuff on it, btw,) I'd find some of the things from there...but they're seriously crazy.

I am a furry, and It is just like being really into any other fandom. Perhaps someone is really into Marvel Comics or something, and they go to conventions dressed as superheros or the like. Do they jerk off to Jean Grey? Maybe, hell I dunno, but that certainly isnt the focus.

Now, with the Furry Fandom, it is a little more defined. The sexual aspect is far more out there, but that is still not the main focus. Just because I like artwork, stories, and psychological aspects of exploring Human Nature with animal attributes, doesn't right off the bat make me want to go Yiff someone in a fur suit.

Its just Fandom, It is just a thing to get into. Granted, it is a little weirder than many other things you could be getting into, but I digress...

If you ever go to 4chan you will understand. It has the biggest user base of any other internet forum out there. A good 80% of them being furries. And they all get off on it. It crazy.
