I dont believe so. But still a swell guy none the less. But there is something no holy doctrine tells us, Where was jesus between ages 12 and 30? In my year and a half work of reserch i have came to the conclusion that he was indeed in kashmir india soaking in some eastern philosophy. If you read the gnostic gospels or the gospel of thomas which were not added into the bible by the church because it underminded their power over the people, the teachings are very much steeped in eastern philosophy. follow the link and read the articles.

EDIT:This has also been widely accepted by the muslim community. Muhammed was actually the first one to make this claim. He said that some how it had came to his knowledge that jesus had went to India for teaching, came back as an old man and his final resting place is there. Host. Do you know anything of this?

It is not accepted by the greater Muslim community and there is no real evidence (physical or otherwise) to prove such a claim. It is accepted by the Ahmadiya Sect of Islam (a very small community) however, even though there is no Hadith (weak, strong or otherwise) to support their claims. It comes down to the fact that, to separate themselves from the Ummah, certain Muslims make up things that have no basis in the religion, to form their own laws and way of life.

Now that IS something that Muhammad had knowledge of.

Also, there is an interesting book titled "Lamb" that fictitiously follows Christ's journey across India, China and the Middle East.

Actually there are plenty of books and even a grave site. There are losts of substantial influences of buddhism in the teachings of christ. The lamasary monastery of Hemis in Ladakh and especialy and every other monestary in india teaches of saint issa, Arabic for jesus. And there is documented proof of jesus studying at Nalanda, an ancient university. And in verse 17 32 of the Bhavishyat Maha Purana it specificly talks about jesus and his time spent there. Did muhammed believe this? Not sure. Have have talked to many other muslims who accept this as truth.

I am not arguing that Christ may have went there and did things, I am just saying that that is not a common Muslim belief.

I would love to think Jesus studied and meditated in India and learned much from Buddhism, it sure helps the view of Interfaith I am so fervent about, but really there isn't much to go by! There are supposed "Jesus burial sites" Everywhere, and ,many books from many places that make reference to Issa, or Jesus, or a Son of Man...

Theres more than that tho. Its in their religious text. and where are all of these other jesus burial sites you speak of? any with concrete evidence such as this? there is a possibility its a dud. but there is substantial evidence that jesus was atleast IN india. He is on record as being at Nalanda. So whos to say he didn't return?

I googled jesus burial sites. The only other results I got besides the one in India were a few 20th century hoaxes with no evidence at all. . . . . Sooooo yeah

Saying he is buriied there is hard to prove. Personally I believe he is because there is good proof. but there is VERY VERY VERY good proof that he was atleast there. And people still dent it. But why? It dosent go against the bible. Why is it so hard to believe?

The evidence that he was in India is very substantial. Thus making the evidence of his existence. Thats why this is so unaccepted by many people. Not a hard concept to grasp bud.

Tvent is talking about the crypt in Jerusalem. A family tomb, with what seems to be all of Jesus' family, all but his body.

And how does this substantial Evidence of Jesus in India come close to proving there was a Jesus? The thinking world barely accepts his existence, because we really only have the Bible to go by. What are the dates of those Indian writings about Issa anyway?

They carbon dated to about either 19 ad? Somewhere in there i would have to look it up again. Not sure. Its not only writings tho. Its archives in universitys and many other places in the region . And how does it come close? Really? Writings and archives and everything else that dates back to the Time of christ and you still don't see it?. We also have the writings of josephus, Thigarus, And many other well known philosophers and theologians of that time who wrote about him. Never once saying he was the son of god or divine in anyway. The thinking world dosen't accept him? I would like Some names. Name me 5 philosophers from Modern times besides the nihlists who believe in nothin that don't accept god or jesus. There will always be critics. There are many who don't accept the existence of mohammed as well.

What web site is that from? Because i read the notovich book and it said nothing of the sort.... The most remarkable evidence for me was jesus being listed as being in those universitys. I think you need to check your sources man No one ever said he was there after the resurection or that anything was written afterword. What Notovich purposed is that there never even was a resurection.
